Former England and Surrey batter Graham Thorpe has passed away at the age of 55.

Thorpe, who played 100 Tests for England between 1993 and 2005, also featured in 82 one-day internationals.

A stylish left-handed batter, he amassed 6,744 Test runs for England, including 16 centuries, with an average of 44.66.

Current England captain Ben Stokes paid tribute to Thorpe, as did the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Surrey. Former teammate Michael Vaughan described Thorpe as a "legend" who had "gone far too young."
